About this tool

Reglyph is a web app for translating scanned and image-only PDFs without losing
their layout. Ordinary translators give you a wall of reflowed text; Reglyph
keeps the document looking like the original.

Under the hood it runs an OCR pass to read the page, an inpainting step that
erases the source text from the image, machine translation, and an automatic
re-typesetting step that places the translated text back into the original
positions. The result: columns, tables, figures, stamps, signature lines and
numbers stay exactly where they were.

It's built for the documents people actually need translated — birth and
marriage certificates, school transcripts, contracts, technical manuals, and
academic papers — across 12+ languages including Spanish, Arabic, Chinese,
Japanese, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Korean and Russian.
