About this tool
Rumal is a voice-first desktop workspace for developers who use AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex.
It helps you manage agent-based development work from one focused app instead of jumping between terminal tabs, local folders, browser windows, notes, and review flows. With Rumal, you can open local projects, start coding tasks, manage multiple agent sessions, monitor progress, review changed files, and keep control of the terminal workflow from a single interface.
The main feature is voice control. You can speak naturally to Rumal to start a task, send follow-up instructions, check what changed, ask for task status, open files for review, respond to approval prompts, and
keep development moving without staying glued to your keyboard.
Rumal includes a task rail for tracking multiple agent runs, a live terminal view for seeing what agents are doing, a review pane for inspecting files and summaries, project switching, update reminders, login- gated beta access, and early foundations for future usage limits and paid tiers.
It is built for developers, indie founders, and small teams who already use AI coding agents and want a cleaner way to control them. Rumal is especially useful when you want to work hands-free while cooking, eating, walking, commuting, at the gym, or away from your desk.
Rumal is currently in early beta. Early users get lifetime free access while the product is shaped with feedback from real developers.
