About this tool

Acres is a local-first visual Markdown workspace for macOS and Windows. Arrange notes as cards on an infinite canvas, connect ideas, and organize them with sections, tags and properties. Use built-in AI or external agents through MCP and CLI to work with notes stored in a folder you own. Agent edits are reviewable, with undo history. A 14-day trial is followed by a $59 one-time early-adopter desktop license. After the trial, notes remain readable and exportable until purchase. Sync and Publish are optional subscriptions.
