About this tool

ftak is a free Chrome extension for quick lookups while you read online. Select any word or phrase and a small tooltip shows its meaning, a short factual summary from Wikipedia for people, places and ideas, and a map preview when it is a place. It closes when you click away, so you never leave the page or open a new tab, and there is no sign-up.

The ftak site also has a PDF reader with the same lookups, and UPSC aspirants can see related previous-year questions for text selected in news articles. Made by a solo maker for friends preparing for UPSC and for anyone doing research or writing.
