About this tool

Cross Stitch Pattern Generator turns your own photo (a pet, a portrait, a house, a child's drawing) into a printable cross stitch chart. You choose the stitch count, fabric count and number of thread colors, and every color is matched to a DMC floss number. The PDF includes a symbol chart, a color key with skein counts and a floss shopping list, and large patterns are split across pages with overlap. The preview is free in your browser and needs no account; the printable PDF is $5.99 per photo, with free re-exports of the same photo. Uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours.
